This is not an agency.

El Farol is an independent editorial project about sports betting, casino, poker and the math tools you need to make thinking-led bets. It is written and maintained by real people who have spent years inside the betting world — and have made every mistake we now help others avoid.

We do not sell tips.

That is the founding principle. We have no premium Telegram channel, we do not send paid picks, we do not charge for subscriptions to tipsters. What you see on /tipsters are real users with a public track record verified server-side — not influencers selling you a guess.

How do we make money?

Through affiliate links to operators licensed by the DGOJ (Spanish gambling regulator). When someone signs up at a bookmaker via one of our links, the bookmaker pays us a commission. Where do we come from?

The project was born in Barcelona in 2024. We host a monthly in-person tertulia (open discussion meetup) in a bar in San Antoni to talk about betting, judgement and statistics with whoever wants to come. No tips, no selling, no gurus. Just honest conversation between bettors stuck with the same question: does what I am doing actually make sense?
