Tipster ranking

Who calls it for real.

No paid tipsters here. Every user shows up with their public settled predictions: hits and misses in plain view. We ask for at least 5 settled predictions before you enter, so nobody sneaks in on a single lucky call.

How the tipster ranking works

No paid tipsters allowed. You enter when you have at least 5 settled public predictions. The ranking sorts by hit rate, but the column that really matters is yield — the real ROI with a flat 1u stake against the actual odds at the time of the pick.

Hit rate

% of correct calls over settled predictions. Useful but misleading: always backing heavy favourites gets you 70% and zero yield.

Yield

ROI with 1u flat stake at the odds at pick time. The honest metric. Positive over the long run = real skill.

CLV

CLV (Closing Line Value) is the gap between the odds when you published and the odds at kickoff. Positive on average = you read the market early.

Numeric example:

Tipster A: 100 predictions, 70 correct (70% hit rate), average odds 1.40 → yield -2% (loses money despite the 70%).

Tipster B: 100 predictions, 45 correct (45% hit rate), average odds 2.50 → yield +12.5% (wins more with fewer hits but sharper selection).

That's why the ordering isn't just hit rate.

Settled predictions are counted after the final whistle. Hit rate excludes pending picks. The tipster with the most hits doesn't necessarily make the most money: ROI rules the other leaderboard.
